Job/Person Summary

Would you like to spend your day as a pirate fighting off sharks, hunting for minibeasts, making delicious concoctions out of anything you can find, being covered in paint, jumping in puddles, exploring, investigating and going on adventures? Then we have the job for you. Are you at your happiest and most fulfilled working with 2, 3 and 4 year olds who will remind you of how to be in the moment, keep the fun and enjoyment alive, appreciate the simple things, reignite your imagination, keep it real, make you smile and are a joy to watch grow and develop? Then come and join our amazing team of hardworking, dedicated and passionate early year’s educators.

We have a position as an Early Years Assistant (EYA) or Early Years Practitioner (EYP) dependent on qualifications and experience. We are looking for someone who has a love of working with young children, an interest in their development and some experience of working with children within the 2 - 5 year old age range. We are an inclusive nursery offering resourced SEND places so some experience of working with children with complex special educational needs would be an advantage.

You will be playful in your approach and be able to interact with children through play, making observations of their learning and progress and having fun. You will support senior staff with planning and implementing an exciting child-led curriculum and learning experiences both inside and out.

You will be motivated and able to use your own initiative in order to engage and inspire children. You will have good communication skills and a developing knowledge of how young children learn. You must be adaptable, able to work within a large nursery team and be dedicated in supporting young children to grow. We can offer you a welcoming and supportive environment to develop your professional skills and knowledge. We are committed to Continuing Professional Development (CPD) and have lots of experience to share as part of induction. As part of the role, you will understand the need for confidentiality and follow safeguarding procedures.

These positions are advertised as fixed term. They may become permanent dependent on funding and numbers for September 2022. There may also be opportunities to work additional hours in both Easter and summer holiday playschemes.
